Project Overview:
The Village of Shelby in Oceana County recently completed a renovation of Getty Park, a project the village council had been developing for several years. The council partnered with CatchMark to develop a comprehensive security camera solution to protect this community investment. The CatchMark Technology Solutions Team collaborated closely with Chief Roesler to define the project’s requirements—identifying priority areas for coverage, planning monitoring logistics, and outlining recording review protocols. These requirements informed the tailored solution CatchMark presented, ultimately approved by the village.
Project Duration
The project took 35 calendar days to complete, from when CatchMark was contacted to the installation, including an on-site visit, proposal creation, approval from the Village, and installation.
Technology Stack
- Security cameras: High-resolution cameras were chosen to provide the clearest image possible.
- Network Video Recorder (NVR): This device is used to store camera footage and allow for playback if needed.
Project Challenges
- Timing: The Village wanted a solution in place as soon as possible. With fall here and winter approaching fast, there was not much time to make this happen.
- Cost: Balancing cost-efficiency with the requirements was essential to keep the project within the budget of the Village.
Results
The Village of Shelby is extremely pleased with the solution and the timing at which CatchMark was able to make everything happen.
