Project Overview:

CatchMark was asked by a customer to design, install, and configure the technology infrastructure for their new office suite. The space was going to be fully remodeled to meet their needs and on the technology side that included network cabling, network hardware, wireless networks, audio/video solutions for private offices and conference rooms, sound masking, security cameras, and door access control.

 

Project Duration

The planning began in January 2023 with a target move date of June 2023. There were several modifications by the customer to the timing for this project that resulted in the move date being changed to August 30, 2023.

 

Technology Stack

• Unifi: Network switches, access points, cameras, and door access control.
• CyberPower Uninterrupted power supplies
• Atlona Audio/Video solutions
• Lencore sound masking solutions

 

Project Challenges

The space had been renovated many times and each time the existing network cabling was left with new cable being installed over the top. This led to the decision to fully demo all existing cabling before installation of the new cable could begin. The project required several contractors to work together to complete the project. The changing schedule was challenging as we needed to move timelines around for several jobs to keep on schedule.

 

Results

CatchMark completed the project on time and under budget. The customer was thrilled with the solutions provided! The audio/video solutions used for the conference rooms stood out to them. They all use the same hardware and function identically. This reduces questions and saves time as they use the spaces.
