It is a long-established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout.

In a blog dated Jan. 19, 2024, we asked CatchMark SportsNet readers, viewers, and followers to vote for the types of content that they prefer to see on our website, our YouTube channel, and numerous social media platforms.

As stated previously, we’re always trying to adapt to the times and adjusting to customers’ needs. Meanwhile, we aim to operate as efficiently as possible.

As we iterate as a local sports coverage network and aim to grow, we need to know what our followers appreciate and need the most.

Is it written features? Roundups? Photo galleries? Video highlights? Podcasts? Stats and standings graphics?

In the aforementioned blog, we posed those questions in the form of a reader poll. The poll opened on Jan. 19 and closed on Feb. 2. Here are the results:

As you can see, 89 votes were submitted. It’s certainly not the largest sample size. However, while we wish more people would have voted, we can glean some things from the poll results.

People dig photos — that’s no big surprise. They like written features, video highlights, and stats/standings graphics. They appreciate video interviews.

If we’re basing anything on this poll, then folks could take or leave written roundups and podcasts.

For those who do appreciate those folks, don’t worry. We’re not about to make knee-jerk decisions on our content based upon a poll with 89 votes. But this is an initial attempt to take the pulse of our readers, our viewers, and our followers.

As CatchMark SportsNet continues to evolve, we want to ensure that we’re growing and changing with the most important people connected to us — our followers.

Please give us your feedback. Tell us what you’d like to see. While we can’t promise anything, we can certainly explore suggestions and requests.
